Hi there! We’re Lexi and Hannah — two passionate marine biologists who first crossed paths at the New College of Florida, where we both earned our Bachelor's degrees in Marine Biology in 2025.

Lexi hails from the beautiful state of Pennsylvania, and Hannah is originally from the vibrant coastal culture of Venezuela. Our shared love for the ocean brought us together in college, and our friendship quickly turned into a shared mission after graduating: protecting Florida’s marine ecosystems and ensuring a sustainable future for the communities that depend on them.

We helped create Coastal Future Florida because we believe that science, advocacy, and local action can create lasting change. From coral reef restoration to fighting habitat loss along Florida’s western coast, we're committed to amplifying marine research and conservation efforts where they’re needed most.
